Five bucks for a slice of pizza as big as your head. This place isn't bad. Not sure it's my #1 local spot to pick up a piece of pie, but it's quick and decent. Perfect after a hangover if you're brave enough to leave the house. Whoopsie! I'll have to try the gelato everyone's raving about next time.

My husband and I are from Columbus OH and we were visiting my husband's sister and her husband who live in Westchester, but use to live in LaGrange. There was a party of 6 in our group and we stopped in Dinico's. My husband is a pizza connosieur and he is very picky about pizza. We ordered a large sausage, pepperoni pizza, chicken fingers, and my sister-in-law ordered a sandwich. To all our surprise, everything was good. We liked it so much we specifically made a point to tell the owner just how much we enjoyed the food. The owner, (I can't remember his name, but he was young and CUTE, and very personable). The next time we visit, we will definitely go back to Dinico's.

My husband has been craving deep dish pizza. Dinico's sounded like a good option that just opened close by. At first they didn't deliver to Stickney but then said yes. Thanks! Pizza was ok. Hubby wanted more of a cornmeal crust. Overall, ok. Giordano's still probably makes the best around.

I will concur with some other reviews - The pizza-by-the-slice here is exceptionally bland. The Berwyn location does it better, but not-so-much so as of late. And yes, both locations are guilty of the jokingly-small soda cup. If you're just walking down La Grange and you just happen to want pizza at the moment, it isn't bad, and you'll certainly be filled up, but you could probably do better if you're planning on ordering.

you know, for a new yorker, pizza is a very touchy topic here in chicago. like i have said in previous posts, i can't compare chicago pizza to ny pizza. they are not the same. they are in their own categories. to that end, dinico's pizza, not really sure how to categorize them. as they are not chicago thin crust nor is it really ny style. i like how they offer you by the slice, if you consider, 1/4 of a pie, a "slice". but it's nice they offer you a drink with your slice. the slice can feed an adult and two children. i purchased 2 slices and took home a slice and a half. they were great the next day for lunch, but just so you know how much food we're talking about. i thought the sauce was good and the crust. it's a lot thicker than a typical ny slice. but not bad at all. i liked that it was fresh, hot out of the oven. we went on a weeknight at 6:30, so not sure what the inventory is like during non-dinner hours. we also enjoyed the gelato they have. all tolled, we spent $20 for two slices of pizza (with a slice and a half for take home) and two medium gelatos with plenty for mom to snack on too. nice place but difficult to sit inside as it was freezing in there. they had this huge open, exposed pipe pumping in air into the restaurant. i felt like i was in a wind tunnel. we had to move outside into the humid outdoor seating.

Got the bbq chicken pizza and it was very good.. As for the gelato, its pretty good but a lil expensive

I order pizza from here all of the time. I think that it is pretty good pizza and the prices are good. They have a stadium size pizza that is great for parties. They are open 24 hours which is great because there are not a ton of restaurants around here open 24 hours. They also have homemade gelato which is pretty tasty. Definitely family friendly.

Ok you're walking down the street in La Grange and you're hungry. Step on into Dinicos and grab yourself a giant slice of pizza. It's really good pizza. The crust is not thin but it's not super thick either. Eat it all and you're gonna be full. Ok, now you're walking down the street in La Grange and you're hungry for something cold for dessert. Like maybe ice cream? Step into Dinicos and grab yourself some gelato. There are a dozen different flavors and oh man it's great!!! So it costs a bit more. Big deal, it's gelato! This place is a welcome addition to restaurant row in La Grange!

Whenever I take the train out to LaGrange, and it's sometimes very late at night that I arrive, Dinico's is open til midnight I believe. I stopped in there as I missed the pace bus so I had an hour to kill. This was a good place to kill my hour. This is a place the high school kids like to hang out at, it's very popular with the kids from what I can see. The owner and his sons/nephews/family were so kind to me and very friendly and talkative. I had an arancini and it really filled me up. It was some sort of dough stuffed with rice and pizza sauce, and it was hot and fresh. It seems like every restaurant I've been to in LaGrange has the best owners and counter staff! I will come back here to try the pizza next time I catch a late train.

$5 for a slice of pizza sounds steep, but when 1 slice is equivalent to 1/4 of a pizza then that makes perfect sense. I love the crust of their pizza - doughy with a crispy bottom. You can easily get 1 slice and split it between 2 people. Their gelato is really yummy too. They have a bunch of sandwiches and some salads on their menu also, but I've never tried them. If you want a whole pizza, just call ahead and place your order and then go pick it up. I agree with a previous poster about the abundance of kids hanging out and not buying anything or 10 kids splitting 1 slice of pizza and staying for hours. We usually take our pizza home so it doesn't really effect us. I like that it's a family run business and that there are a lot of those in the LaGrange area. Support your local businesses!

I recently ordered a pizza for delivery, but decided to pick it up. I called to change the delivery to pickup and was told no. I asked if the pizza was already on the way and was told that it wasn't even done being made. I asked to speak to the manager, at which time the person on the phone call me "ignorant" and said she would take care of it. I asked again to speak to the manager. When I got ahold of the "manager" I mentioned that the cashier was extremely rude and I would not be patronizing them again. The manager replied "ok, thanks" and hung up. When i got there I again asked to speak to the manager under the assumption that I wasn't really connected with the manager on the phone. Indeed, I was connected to the manager. He said we lied about what the cashier said on the phone, as if we don't have better things to do than lie about cashiers as pizza joints. There are plenty of pizza places in the area that have the same quality pizza but better customer service. I suggest avoiding this one. It's simply not worth the attitude.

Mama Mia this is quite a pizzeria! Hands down one of the best pizza places in the western suburbs. If you enjoy mouthwatering, ooey-goey pizza this place is for you. As an Italian-American girl and native New Yorker this is by far one of the only pizzerias whose pizzas even remotely resemble traditional New York Style olive oil soaked pizza greatness! The sauce tastes like true freshly ground tomatoes, instead of the sickeningly sweet sauces that tend to glut the local pizza market. If you're looking for a true "slice" of authentic Italian fare stop by Di Nicos.

Been here before and thought it was average for a meal. Large pizza slices. Nothing great, just food. I went back this week with the kids for gelato. BRUTAL. After waiting about 10 minutes for someone to wait on me and my three kids, one of the counter girls finally asked if we needed help. The counter girl put a scoop about the size of a golf ball on a pair of cones. I asked her about the small serving. She said that was the serving size. I didn't order any more gelato, even though I planned on getting one for myself. It was too late to walk out, as two of my kids already had the cones in their hands. I asked how much the small cups were, she said the same price. I asked how many scoops she put in the cups and she said two. I asked why she only put a dollop on the two cones and I said it was a rip off. She just giggled and said "Sorry". What was the point of arguing with a 15 year old? I gave her my money and walked out. We won't be back. There is a custard stand, a new yogurt place, and two ice cream stores within walking distance. Needless to say, these other place will put this place out of business in a year or two. SKIP THIS PLACE. WORST IN CHICAGOLAND BY FAR!!!!!

DiNico's just opened after taunting us with coming soon signs for months. It's not perfect, but it's very, very good. We will likely end up going here over Lucca's. Lucca's is MUCH tastier, imo, but it is *incredibly* expensive. DiNico's prices are right, the pizza is good (not great, but good enough), and their gelato is *heavenly*. Pineapple gelato. I want to subsist on this stuff.

Went today and got a slice of sausage pizza with the free drink. The soda was too small so i bought a can of R.C. and the slice and it set me back $5.88 + tax. Not worth the money. Pizza had no taste. The only thing i tasted was a touch of anise in the sausage. Ill drive the extra 5 minutes to Nonnos next time. Why are there an over abundance of sub par restaurants in LaGrange????????

My daughter has been bugging me to order their pizza. She had lunch in LaGrange with a friend and really liked the food. So...from beginning to end...a great experience. *ease of ordering - ordered and paid on line. ** delivery was early, food was hot and the delivery guy was very nice and personable. *** calamari was great and portion was huge! **** pizza was fabulous and delicious (stadium/cheese & pepperoni) **** plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. 5 stars!! Keep up the good work!!!

OK, gelato is a little more than I would spend but I am not an ice cream person. Bring in some Italian ice at the quality of your gelato and I will pay the price. $5 for 1/4 of a pizza and a soda, you can't go wrong. (I have seen 2 & 3 teenage kids split this slice it is that big). The pizza is a little bland so I put a little pepper and cheese on it. The options are limited to cheese or sausage for the grab & go. So far you are wondering, why does he rate this place 4 stars but just ehh about everything. a. the take home pizza with multiple toppings is good, good stuff. I really appreciate it on a regular basis. b. the quality of the place. nice, clean people, great owner who likes to talk to you, quality furniture and a more inviting atmosphere than most pizza take-outs.

I order from here at least once a week. I have come to love their pizza and their real sugar cola. I usually get delivery. Compared to most places their delivery is slow, about an hour usually. The store itself is actually reall nice inside. Well maintained.

I love this place! It has a great variety of food and some awesome pizza! They are open so late too which is nice so your not forced to eat crap food off the dollar menu!! The place itself is nice, everything is clean and updated the staff really takes care of it! Makes for a nice sitting area! The staff is always friendly and welcoming! I'm not sure if he is the owners son or some how affiliated but a gentleman Angelo in particular seems to be there all the time and always has a great attitude! At first I thought he just remember my name cause the conversation I had when I called my order in but it turns out he does his best to become friendly with all his customers! It's nice to walk into a place and feel like regular regardless of how many people go there or how often you may go! The food is always delicious wether you order delivery or tAke out it's always fresh! I'm not sure how recent they added this but they also have FROZEN YOGURT!!! So after stuffing your face with delicious pizza or anything on the menu it's the perfect refreshing dessert to have! I think it was a great move as a business owner to provide such a great amenity! Highly recommend this place! If your having tons of people over for football games I suggest their largest pizza they are HUGE and feed so much! If your not sure what to order just call and explain what you have in mind and Angelo will take care of you! If by small chance he isn't there any employee is just as great!

Pretty fab. Delivery late-night. They threw in an RC for free, which was a nice surprise. Pizza looked great, tasted great. They followed my complex instructions re: 1/2 this, full that, etc. Fried dough filled with cannoli filling dessert... meh. Looked great, but was too chewy. I think it needs to be eaten when it's still warm. Chicken fingers kids meal was what you would expect-- for $5 I was happy. 2 big chicken fingers, perfectly inbetween crispy and soft Arrincini was good. Decently big size. Medium quality. Mariana sauce it comes with was loooovely. Only drawback: you will know of a place that will deliver you 5000 calories via GrubHub laziness when working/lounging at 1am!!

  • Matt M.

Flaaaaame as far as "really big pizza slice places" go this is definitely one of the best. For $5 you get two big slices and a drink, great value!

  • Joseph L.

Pizza is not good at all, cheap dough, cheap cheese, sauce is way to sweet. You can definitely tell a bunch of high school kids are running this place. I ordered Buffalo wings and they were sweet...I ate one and left the rest in my hotel room before leaving. Obviously the people eating there haven't eaten real food before.

I've been a rep in LaGrange for over 14 years and never knew about this place. Its excellent pizza! Thin crust was perfect, sauce was perfect and toppings were perfect! The only suggestion would be to have Pepsi products.

Largest pizza slice around the special salad is the bomb. Prices are great. Open late. Great place for a cheap and good meal. 1 slice feeds 2. Thumbs up. Great service, fantastic.

Loved how nice staff is here. They where very informative and patient. Big slices for not much. Pizza was very delicious. My son loved the pepperoni pizza. Great location. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. For a hot Friday, it gets very busy. Definitely recommend.

Took a motorcycle ride out to LaGrange on a beautiful Wednesday night and stopped for food. A friend suggested Di Nico's having had it before and telling us how it is comparable to Nonna's, which is an inexpensive, go-to, late-night option for huge slices and unlimited drinks in Alsip and also Oak Lawn. It was surprisingly crowded inside the little store for a Wednesday night, but this is LaGrange and there's a lot of people generally walking around so I guess that's to be expected. Lot's of high school and young people here! We ordered slices of sausage and cheese. I must note there are lots of other options including salads, subs and frozen yogurt. The sausage was coming out in a couple minutes so we filled up our drinks (in cups that are literally identical to Nonna's cups) and took a seat. Pizza came out steaming hot but after we were able to dig in I realized that this was $5.50 more than well spent. I'm not sure where else you could get this much food and unlimited drinks for this cheap. The best part of it all is: the pizza was genuinely tasty! No, it's not some kind of premium Aurelio's or something but it's definitely better than some of the chain places. ~1000s of calories, 100s of grams of carbs, and 3 full motorcycle riders later, we agreed Di Nico's was a good choice. Overall the experience is identical or perhaps better than Nonna's pizza, the $5 and some change for a gigantic slice and drink appears to be a fail-proof restaurant structure. Di Nico's was consistently busy the whole time we were there. 4/5, great!

When I found out that this place has cinnamon sugar scented hand soap, I went absolutely ape shit! I picked up my buddies and we left the women at home. They're too distracting when it comes to scented soap and candles, this is serious business. Well it's also a pizza place, but I don't care about that, I want the soap. The soap was marvelous and the pizza is good too. Gelato was top notch. I washed my hands for two hours and smelled my hands for a day and a half because they smelled wonderful. My friends took the women there and they liked it too. We will be back and can't wait to visit after we go see Polekats which I hear is a nice place for young children to see a show. We'll surprise them there on their 6th birthday, Polekats and pizza.

Great food and great staff! My daughter forgot her purse there and when I called to see if it was still there I was told it was. The staff kept it for her until I was able to pick it up for her a week later. I will definitely go back soon

  • Irene G.

This place is quickly becoming my second home! Yes, there are usually crowds of teenagers and family here, and seating may be difficult at times, but their pizza by the slice always hits the spot and I usually take it to go anyway. Oh and it's now $5.50/slice... I enjoy the free frozen yogurt tastings, too!

Great pizza. Good prices compared to other decent pizza places in area. Always on time delivery.

  • Brian M.

Great sandwich and pizza joint. The pizza is a new addition. Thin crust only when we were there, but they said deep dish will be available soon. The thin is well seasoned in a way that's unusual in this area. Friendly service and outdoor seating. We'll be back!

    (5)
  • Tim H.

To start the quality of food is good. Not great but good. The fact that all dine in orders get a drink is a plus however they pad the prices of their items to accommodate it. I will say I have been here twice, once I completed the pizza challenge and the second for a beef sandwich. The price quantity ratio was good for the pizza but horrible for the beef sandwich. For the same price as portillos I got half a sandwich and not as good of quality. Now on to the gluten free pizza crust. It is a 12 inch which is better than most places but they rob you for extra toppings that it looked like they missed putting on the pizza crust. The taste of it is the redeeming feature of it. All in all would I come back again? The answer would be no unless I won the lottery.

One of La Grange's best pizza around. Our family also loves Lucca's, so will rate both the same with 5 stars. Dinico's staff is wonderful. The restaurant itself is charming. We have also tried home delivery. Pizza was just as terrific. Everyone should have their pizza here. Keep up the great work, Dinico's!

... was a great day today to eat outside, but this place is over-run by kids and soccer moms so I had to sit by the curb - I wouldn't have minded, but the slices are not all that good to merit sitting on a planter box - Very doughy, dull and needs more sauce, cheese and spices! But it's filling and I guess a good bang for the buck (the slice is actually 2 pieces) - If I was right there walking down the street and hungry I might try it again... otherwise there are plenty of other places to eat!

  • Ani M.

Thanks a lot for the crappy pizza, ordered thin crust and I got a double crust crappy pizza!!!! How disappointing!!' Also with every bite the whole damn topping would slide off the pizza and onto my chin which caused a slight burn!!! Last time I order from there. Almost 30 bucks for a medium with sausage and green pepper. Should have ordered from piasans, at least they know what thin means!!!!!!

I never had an issue with this place. The pizza is tasty for a good price. One slice of pizza with a small drink is 5 bucks. It always fills me up. Oh and the cheese fries are delicious.

I have ordered here a lot over the past couple years and lately the food quality has plummeted. Every time I get my pizza I worry if it's cold, burnt or squished. Please go back to your old ways! Your food was great!

  • Kyle U.

I absolutely love this place. The pizza is HUGE and decently priced as well. The place is always crowded because it's so popular. I especially love when the weather is nice and you can sit outside on LaGrange Road -- which is always lively. Sometimes full of kids, but no problem. Great in-and-out place!

The staff, the food, the cleanliness, the fact that they are open until 3:30 am, makes this a very cool pit stop on the way home from work. Or a cool place to hit for a late night snack. For just $5 they provide what amounts to two slices of tasty pizza. The sauce, the cheese & sausage is placed in a nice thick crust. The combination of ingredients establishes Dinico's pizza right up there with Home Run Inn and Falco's. The $5 charge also includes a small soft drink with refills. A slice of Dinico's pizza will fill up the hungriest of patrons! Their frozen yogurt which comes in many flavors is very good too. The combination of reasonably priced and well flavored food makes Dinico's worthy of a regular stop. Even the patrons at night, who are around high school age, are very well behaved. One guy was even wearing a sport jacket recently! You can see by their demeanor that they will be the future corporate leaders of this country powered by good families and Dinico's Pizza! dinicospizza.com

Some of the food is a bit pricey for the atmosphere but the presentation of the food was great! The portions are large and tasty! I love that the caprese salad comes with red peppers, super good! As for the prosciutto with a caprese salad we don't like that at all so we threw out the whole pile (there was a ton). Can't wait to try the pizza next time!

    (4)
  • Stephanie B.

Probably my favorite pizza place of all time to grab a slice. $5 for basically a quarter of a pizza and a drink. As a poor college student I can really appreciate Dinicos. Their hours are great and my friends and I usually hit this place up after Brixies down the road in Brookfield. They just got frozen yogurt in this place too which is very very good, the pistachio and nutella flavors are wonderful. The staff here is always nice, the prices are good, and it's open late. I really don't know what more I could want.

If you want good pizza this isn't the place. Crust is like cardboard. Even my 10 year didn't like it!

    (2)
  • Liz K.

The GOOD: Pizza is good (not to thin crust...not to thick crust ..good amount of cheese)....and a good size (one slice really is 2) I don't have to drive to Bacci's anymore for a 5 dollar giant pizza slice/soda deal anymore. The place is always super clean They always have a variety of gelato...and they change it up Their sandwiches are pretty good too THE NOT SO GOOD: Gelato is pretty $$ Just like someone mentioned earlier the place gets full of loud obnoxious teenagers (take it to go!)

I think they have great pizza. I'm not a big fan of their slices but my husband loves them. I prefer their regular crust pizzas. The sauce is my favorite around and they are not stingy with the cheese. Fast delivery too.

OK, so I grew up in Western Springs. LEDO's was the PLACE for pizza then. It still was while I was in college. Hell, it still was 15 years ago. I met my husband in 2000 and he being a chef, I was unsure about taking him to Ledo's one night while we were in the 'burbs, visiting my Dad. He loved it! Two years later, forget it for both of us and its been the same ever since...like others have posted - weird, watery, tasteless sauce, the canned mushrooms are the WORST, their sausage...blah. Their cheese has changed, too. But for fear reasons, anytime we'd visit my dad prior to him dying in 2012, if Dad wanted pizza, we ordered almost always from Ledo's. Since he died, I've looked at YELP reviews of pizza places around here when we've been at the house...such inconsistency save for one...but I was so hesitant to ever order from a new place due to at least knowing we'd get mediocre at best pizza from Ledo's. Well, that ALL CHANGED LAST NIGHT! We ordered from Dinico's...sausage, onion, mushroom and spinach...OH MY GOD!!! It came hot as hell, the delivery guy - big dude - was all smiles and I told him how excited I was to try their pizza and told him how CRAPPY Ledo's Pizza has been...he grinned ear to ear and said, "You will love ours". I took one bite and OH MY GOD! DELICICIOUS! My husband would be the ultimate judge though, being a chef in Chicago...even reheated (and I didn't think it was as good flavor-wise as when it was first delivered) for him after he got home from work, he was LOVING the flavors! So impressed with the sauce (*though not quite enough with the amount of cheese they use"), the dough -said it reminded him of the dough for pizzas they used when he worked many years ago at Gioco in the South Loop) - the onions "so lovely and sweet" and not heavy on the spinach (he hates spinach on pizzas LOL) and the mushrooms "so flavorful and not buried in that nasty canned flavor"....YES, YES, YES!!!!!!!! DINICO"S! LEDO's IS NO MORE FOR US IN THE WESTERN SUBURBS!!! YOU GUYS ROCK SOME SERIOUS PIZZA BOOTIE and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED I HAVE A REAL PIZZA PLACE TO ORDER FROM HERE IN W.S. now!!!!!!!!!!! Keep up the great work!!!!! I know some folks posted issues about pizza prices being more than other places...well, HELLO! You GET WHAT YA PAY FOR!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU, DINICO's!!!! KEEP ALL THE HARD WORK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lola P.

Pizza slices are awesome and its a nice little dine in atmosphere so I decided to try a whole pizza. I ordered an x-large half vegetarian and half cheese. The pizza was disappointing. The crust was mushy and not a bit crisp. It was probably undercooked. There was no flavor to the pizza at all. It was so bland I didn't even keep the left overs! We did not enjoy this pizza and will not order from here again.

Di Nico's is the best pizza I have ever ever tasted. No other pizza tops this pizza. For $5 dollars you get one slice of pizza (which is the size of two large pizza slices). The pizza is so soft and warm and you also get a drink with your meal. I love love love love love love Di Nico's. You must go there.

Pizza sucks. Gelato is delicious. Guy at register is super flirty and cute. It's like he's seducing you and getting you to purchase their mediocre food but you go back just so that he flirts with you. Now HE knows how to run a business; getting women to come back no matter if the pizza tastes like cardboard.

Very nice staff, very clean. HUGE showcase style piece of pizza and a free refill pop for $5. I had the sausage. It was pretty good. We also tried the rice ball which was also good. Our whole lunch was $12, unheard of in LaGrange. I would recommend for a quick bite to eat. I would be interested in trying some of their other styles of pizza.

Okay, so the guys behind the counter are a couple dude-bros, but I'm not sure it's even in a bad way --the blank look they gave my husband when he didn't understand their sports reference and explained that he didn't watch sports was absolutely hilarious. But it's about the food, so let's talk food. First, let's not call it a slice of pizza...it's a good quarter-pizza for a really good price, but seriously? Skip the soda. It tastes so syrupy and bad it's comical. This isn't the place to go for a gourmet meal, but the pizza is super cheesy and very tasty. It's a good, cheap dinner and not much more.

My favorite pizza around. $5 bucks for a 1/4 of a pizza and drink! The kids like the gelato more than McD's toys!

Yes, I am a fan of Di'Nico's. One slice (which is really two) and a small drink is only $5.00. As far as pizza goes its a little better then middle of the road but the customer service is great.
